A huge thank you to Matt Smyth and Andrew Miller, MBA of International SOS, and to Frank Scalia of Everest for your informative presentation and engaging workshop on Travel Risk Management and the duty of care required of employers. You gave us a lot to think about, starting with one very fundamental question . . . Do you know where your people are?
On March 19-20 NJ RIMS Board Member and Advocacy Ambassador Justin Colletti participated in the RIMS Legislative Summit in Washington, DC. While there, he met with staffers and policy advisors to NJ Senators Booker and Kim, and NJ Representatives Pallone, Conaway, and Sherrill to express our position on issues of concern to the risk management community.

January 23, 2025 - The RIMS New Jersey chapter is proud to announce that we have doubled our commitment to Kids’ Chance of New Jersey with the awarding of a second four-year $5,000 Diamond Sponsorship. This second sponsorship has been awarded to Yagmur Kartal, a freshman student at Arcadia University majoring in psychology. Yagmur desires to eventually further her education by pursuing a master’s degree and counselling families and children.

As part of our mission to support growth for the insurance and risk management professional through education, we are looking for New Jersey colleges and universities interested in expanding risk management and insurance education. Please see the details below.

NJ RIMS had a lot of fun hosting “Market Update Jeopardy” at our September chapter meeting. Our expert panel was informative and the competition was fierce yet friendly. A good time was had by all.
Our expert panel put a lot of thought into developing their questions, so we encourage you take a look at the boards (see links below). Perhaps you want to challenge your friends, family and co-workers to a competition. We looked at only Board 1 during the meeting.
